- il più grande contraltista dei tempi moderni. La "voce" più metropolitana e la modulazione più singolare del panorama internazionale. Darei dieci anni di vita per saper suonare così.
- Pearls is one of those songs I can play over and over and over, and then do it again. After I listen to Mr. Sanborn's rendition I will go listen to Sade's version for a while. Then I might try Angelique Kidjo's cut for a few turns. But nothing finishes it quite let the build up David belts out. I have owned this CD for about 12-13 years and never tire of it.

- I've being listening and loving David Sanborn's music for 30 years now, since the "Hideaway" album. No one can channel emotion like David. His playing is even more special to me because of his back story. I love the way this crescendos the last minute of the song. Simply beautiful beyond words.
