Guns N' Roses was inducted by into the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame by Green Day, and Duff said that the induction wasn't about which member wasn't there, referring to Axl, but it was about the music (courtesy HBO).

  1. Were did you get the mr. browstone hbo video ???!!!
  2. where was izzy?
  3. Mellow Yellow gets inducted on the same day as Guns and Roses? Talk about opposite ends of the spectrum.
  4. ArtisanNewsScience change the discription for this video! you got the quote from Duff wrong! he doesn't say "it doesn't matter who isn't here..". he says it doesn't matter who IS here.." the way Duff says it it much more thoughtful and classy..
  5. Where is 2pac?
  6. very nice said. I couldn't agree more! :)
  7. Those 4 still rock. Axl, well, can do better
  8. I hope you're kidding.
  9. Korn should be inducted
  10. I really appreciate Duff. As a musician and as a person. he really cares about what they did and you can tell that he feels sorry Axl and Izzy couldn't be there. By the way, I dont know why, but Izzy kinda always reminded me of Frusciante. maybe cuz the two of them really hated the glory and it was all about the music for them and stuff...I dont know. either way, theyre both awesome and i love them and i wish they would have been there. but I guess it all happen for a reason.
  11. indeed
  12. I don't believe so. But then again, different opinions..
  13. the difference isn't hard to handle at all, the first album is awesome, the others not very good....sorry but you're full of shit...lol
  14. It really seems like Axl's whole issue is that it wouldn't be fair to the current members of Guns n' Roses for him to attend or accept the induction withthe old members because he still plays out as " Guns n' Roses". To me GnR ended when 3/4 of the original line- up were gone. Axl should have never continued on as Guns n' Roses, he and his current members should have come up with a new name, but that's typical Axl thinking only of himself. I think he just wants to stay with a familiar brand name
  15. great musician? in what way? he can play the same piano tune over and over? he can stuff his boxers with socks and wiggle his arse around? he can rasp and squeal? how many live performances of his sound anything like the recorded version? thats an alarm bell to me! being able to make above average music doesnt make you a great musician and im sorry but the differences between GNR albums isnt hard to handle...the first one is amazing, the others suck
  16. I'd like to think that i know what's music and what's not, yeah. And of course i've heard of those you mentioned. I just have a different opinion when it comes to Axl. I believe he is a great musician, but unfortunately he happens to be somewhat of an asshole. He knows how to make above-average music, IMO. I can understand that you prefer A4D over UYL 1,2 and CD. I like them all, but the difference between them is to hard to handle for some, and i understand that.
  17. again popularity isn't the issue, its contribution. Also if you check the sleeves of the album you'll see that all the songs on a4d were written by all the band. I admire that you can't bear to hear justin bieber mentioned and your dedication to the argument shows me that you do care for music, but i urge you to hear me out, axl rose is not great at all. Based on your love of music i know you will have heard of p. rogers, s.tyler, j.morrison these are frontmen! axl isnt fit to lick their boots!
  18. Uhu, like Axl didn't write any of the lyrics in Appetite at all.. It's not like Sweet Child O' Mine was written by Axl or anything, or any other song. I never said that I thought any of the members were untalented, but none of them are even close to being as popular as they were before. And don't mention Justin Bieber, he doesn't make music.
  19. being popular or in the public eye isn't an account of how talented you are is it? look at justin bieber. where exactly has axl been since they left? C.D, the most anticipated rock album of the year was a flop. izzy is highly regarded by musicians for his guitar playing, duff is a good bass player, adler in his day was far better than sorum as a drummer, more raw, slash is doing v well, axl has a raspy squal for a voice and wiggled his hips a lot...that was really his contribution to appetite
  20. Same thing goes for Chinese Democracy. I agree with you that the album took way to long to make, and that it might not have been the best album ever, but I really enjoyed it, and still do. Plus, if axl is the least talented person in the group, how come none of the others have gotten anywhere after they left?
  21. Different opinions. I can't convince you to like certain albums or songs, but you can't convince me to say that i must dislike an album that i really like. I disagree when you say that Illusion 1,2 is average at best, when i enjoy listening to almost every single song on each album.
  22. i was there too, he was no better than jennifer lopez or britney spears for being a diva. not a rock n roller, just a big girl with an attitude problem and major insecurity
  23. what used to be awesome about GNR in the appetite era was that they were just a kick ass rock band and awesome at it, after that Axl's head began to swell after listening to queen and elton heavily he decided that Guns n Roses should be artsy and eloquent, two things that axl rose isn't. And with that alienated the band, the bands direction and ended up creating an inferior product. The current GNR line up is exactly how Axl wants it to be, not what the fans want but they don't matter do they?
