Buy a t-shirt NOW at www.adventuredrums.com This music is not mine, it's a tribute to my favorite drummer, Brad Davis. So believe it or not, I made this song even better. The last chorus is the best. I made that beat up and my neighbors gave me a million dollars.

  1. anybody know ride that is?
  2. you are an enormous faggot
  3. no homo.
  4. Is that guyliner or are those the most beautiful eyelashes ever?
  5. Not sure if it's the drum set, or the mustache that makes this video a win.
  6. whats so good about this cover? the ninja turtle drums?
  7. Although, in fairness, Pat Carney uses Paiste.
  8. Vinnie Colaiuta disagrees.
  9. Haha nice
  10. i think its a japan
  11. I do the latter:) I'm Yamaha guy. I recently just purchased the Rock tour kit mainly for the textured green finish. Apparently they weren't able to do that finish on an Oak Custom kit. I'm not going to lie for the price of the Rock Tour drums I'm amazed at the quality of sound. They sound even better with my aquarian response 2's. I bought all ten pieces for the same price of a six piece oak custom. I know people say that Mahogany is junk but I have to disagree after buying this kit.
  12. I played the Rude mega power ride, you want to talk about killing your ears. If you get a chance just mess with one and you'll know what I mean.
  13. Yeah man, we're just having a discussion :) I find loosening the tension rods either side of the snare wires by like a 1/4 turn and then pulling up the tension on the wires a bit actually kinda helps with the buzz. Or just play so loud you can't hear it... :-P What kit do you play?
  14. It's more to do with pitch. Generally speaking, the more tin, the lower the pitch (or "darker") the cymbal, and the less tin, the higher the pitch (or "brighter") the cymbal. It's not strictly true though. A Customs are B20 and bright, and Ks are B20 and dark. Timbre doesn't refer to the quality of the sound, more the characteristic of the frequencies produced. The BRT line from TRX is B20, and is SOO bright, like mega mega high pitched, to the point it sounds horrible actually. Hurts my ears:(
  15. I'm not fighting and if I came off that way I apologize. I think the top comment got me going because it's probably some guitar hero drummer who has never played a Paiste cymbal in his life. Snare buzz is a pain and I can proudly say that I've never owned a Pearl kit or even played one, so I really don't know much about the Exports.
  16. I take it the wiki page meant better durability. All I know is that it says "As the tin content in a bell or cymbal rises, the timbre drops" Timbre is the quality of tone. So if the tin is a higher percentage then the timbre decreases. I've owned ZBTs and they didn't sound bad at all they just didn't last. The ZBTs I owned don't even come close to the couple of Rudes I have.
  17. Ok man, fair play. The signature info is wrong though, according to Paiste. But why are we fighting man? We're both drummers; brothers, if you will. We should be uniting against all this other musicians that are always trying to get us to shut up. We both clearly have a love and appreciation for bronze in all its forms. Can we not unite in our hatred for something? Pearl Exports, perhaps? Snare buzz? Everyone hates snare buzz...
  18. I looked up my info on the same wiki page my friend. Look where it list the cymbals made from Bell bronze and it list Paiste signatures. Look up Bronze on wiki and scroll down to Musical instruments. It clearly states the bell bronze is 23% tin while B20 is only 20%, two different types.
  19. Also, what does "the cymbal in general may be better but it suffers when it comes to sound" mean? How can it be a better cymbal if it sounds worse? And why aren't the top Zildjian artists rocking a whole set of ZBTs if B8 is better..? B8 is CHEAPER, and that's the only reason it was even considered as an option for cymbals. I'm in no way an "alloy snob", and I think the sound is the defining quality of a cymbal. However, the general consensus is that B20 > B8, and in my experience it's true.
  20. wikipedia . org / wiki / Cymbal_alloys Educate yourself man. Bell bronze IS B20, generally speaking. Also, look at the quote from the guy who actually developed Paiste's B8 formula, who says the sonic capabilities don't come close to B20. Also, Signatures don't use B20, they use Paiste's "signature formula". I agree with you saying it's down to personal preference, but at least make sure the information you're providing is correct.
  21. Yes, Paiste does use B8 bronze on the majority of their cymbals, which is a good thing. The higher the tin (B20= 20%, B8=8%) the lower the quality of sound/tone (timbre). Yes, the cymbal in general may be better but it suffers when it comes to sound. Now Paiste does use Bell Bronze in their signature lines as well as the twenty lines. By the way, bell bronze and B20 are two different types. Bell Bronze is mainly used for bells, gongs and some top line cymbals. In the end it's personal preference
  22. yes i do, that's the joke...
  23. Johny depp?
  24. Do you know who Brad Davis is....?
