Part 2 : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rnCwfIpCyM0 My favorite Stereolab song, the 18 min epic Jenny Ondioline

  1. I love this song......
  2. neu!
  3. I agree, and Stereolab would be first to admit to their influences; they made no secret of their admiration of Krautrock and their contemporaries Spacemen 3, who themselves were heavily influenced by Faust, Suicide and so on.
  4. Yes, but Neu! didn't have the awesome vocals, lyrics and most of the melody. Hawkwind was also doing stuff like this.
  5. Agreed. Neu! is written all over this.Still it's good, how could it not be?
  6. I'm sorry, but this just IS Neu! All you people who think this is amazing need to here "Fur Immer" by Neu!, or "Hallogallo" or "Hero" or "Silence" or "Lila Engel". It's all good.
  7. Greatest Stereolab song ever...!!!!
  8. I always sing this song to myself whenever I'm walking in the woods enjoying the peace of nature, getting away from all the upheaval and strife in our country. Especially the part at 1:36 "I don't care if the fascists have to win", etc.
  9. hey dummy who uploaded this, "song 2" starts at 7:25. your "part 2" is the simple headphone mind sort of material that plays at the end. which is technically part 3.
  10. fUCKIN' YEAH!
  11. Stereolab is my all time favorite band. I miss Mary so much.
  12. i think i listened to this tune 10 times straight the first time i heard it at full volume. a great tune to get lost in... love love love it..
  13. just listen to most "indie" rock bands Nowadays, they all have some stereolab embeded somewhere (specially some riffs in this song are proof of that) i think sterolab have been one of those bands everyone heard but noone gives credit to
  14. The best Stereolab album by far, in my opinion. If anyone disagrees then big deal - I know what I like and, at the end of the day, that's all the matters, surely? This track is epic.
  15. i always thought that, more than their hallogallo, it was their mother sky. best fucking song ever.
  16. They took drone rock to another level with this song. Nobody has topped it since.
  17. yeyyyyyyyy , i love being among other Stereolab fans ......all 8 of us !! :( people are such philistines !
  18. if I recorded a cover version of Hallogallo would it be an "epic"?
  19. Stereolab really tried to point music in the right direction in the early 90s... but music sadly did not go in that direction.
  20. just ignorants
  21. neu! neu! neu!
  22. This is truly an amazing song!!!
  23. One of my fave Stereolab songs too, cheers - I once mentioned on a forum that "Transient Random Noise Bursts..." was one ofthe best Stereolab albums, and received a tirade of abuse from all sides. Philistines...
